ALS Awareness Month…We Need You to get involved.
Every May is ALS Awareness Month and here at BioNews/ALS News Today we try to focus on raising awareness. This year we are asking that each forum community member also participates in some way large or small! You can raise awareness by sharing your story or facts about ALS on social media, participating in ALS Walks in person or virtually, asking your family members to walk and raise funds and awareness on your behalf, donating time or funds to an ALS charity, volunteer for research and share your journey on social media, and/or write letters to politicians advocating for research funds and laws that make assistance for those with ALS.
Although it is important to focus and support ALS Awareness year-round, we have 31 days in May dedicated to bringing a lot more attention to ALS, ALS research, as well as pALS needs and cALS needs.
What are you going to do? What other ideas or events have you heard about that our community members could get involved with? Please share your ideas and thoughts!!! We need to rally and take advantage of ALS Awareness Month and get involved!
